This is some of the worst food I have ever had. Maybe it was a bad night for them but I only ordered here because my regular place was closed. Got take out. The salmon skin roll tasted old and the skin was all jumbled together and had no crisp. Took one bite and spit it out. The garlic edamame had no garlic. Maybe a hint of a garlic oil? Idk so bad and tasted like rancid oil. And the portion was literally a handful! Got two deep fried rolls. The spicy tuna wasn't horrible but the oil again tasted old and rancid. The cali roll had absolutely no flavor, not even the spicy mayo. I thought maybe some soy sauce would help. So wrong. The soy sauce was foul. Oh my god. Like where did they even find that stuff! This was supposed to be an indulgent celebratory dinner but I will not order from here again. Lesson learned.
From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is special. The aesthetic of the restaurant perfectly matches the quality of the food—which isn’t always the case. You know how some restaurants look absolutely stunning, the food looks amazing, but then you take a bite and… it’s just okay? That’s definitely not the case here. This place is both beautiful and delicious. The dim lighting, warm wood accents, and thoughtfully chosen furniture make the space feel authentic and cozy, almost like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Japan. The staff greeted us warmly and seated us right away. They clearly explained how the sushi buffet worked, and everything felt smooth and well-organized from the start. We ordered a ton of different sushi rolls, all freshly made to order. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, but my absolute favorite was the cucumber-wrapped sushi. I thought I would miss the sushi rice, but I didn’t at all—it was high-protein, light, crunchy, super fresh, and so delicious. I honestly wish I had ordered more. We also tried some of the Korean dishes, including the chicken wings and the bulgogi beef, and both were amazing—flavorful, well-cooked, and really satisfying. The food came out quickly, which made the experience even better. This is definitely a place I’d come back to, whether with friends, family, or a larger group. It’s a great spot to hang out, enjoy great food, and soak in a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend—I’ll absolutely be back.
We went to tsunami today and this is like maybe 5,6 times . Today servers were so nice and very fast. Service is no complain it was perfect. But feel like all the food tasted way different poke bowl had some kind smell sushis looked different and tasted different bulgogi teriyaki chicken some kind different taste and so much oil. Baked sushi’s were so much oil. All the food were super greedy. Water cups were kind of oily.atmosphere everything elsewas perfect except food this time. Just food tasted different. Love the affordable price in this neighborhood you guys running thank you. But please food needs to be little bit careful-tsunami sushi
For an all-you-can-eat place, this spot was really good. The rolls were a bit smaller than usual and the fish portions were too, but the flavor was definitely there. Most of the food is made to order, so it comes out fresh instead of sitting around, which I really appreciated. That does mean you might wait a few extra minutes depending on what you order, but it’s a fair trade-off for fresher food. The service was good—everyone was helpful and friendly. Since it was my first time, I wasn’t totally sure how things worked, but my server was patient and walked me through the process. Opps again, I forgot to take pictures.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my wife this evening at Tsunami Sushi. Great food and a very pleasant dining environment. Service was timely, food was delicious. Arrived early for dinner, left the restaurant when it was packed, almost every table filled. Highly recommended. Prices slightly high, but food was worth the price. Thank you Tsunami Sushi!!!
Went here for dinner during the Game 7 of the World Series. Had the Tsunami Sushi Special. Pricey, but totally worth it, especially on a special occasion. A bit noisy because of the crowd there watching the game, but still a generally chill atmosphere. Had a crushed fly in my soy sauce container, but got it replaced right away. Sad to hear that sea urchin got taken off the menu, but I recommend the salmon belly and bluefin tuna. Would go again.
This is the 2nd time we went back! This place is so good!! From the service to the food we had a great experience! We loved how they had so many choices from appetizers to sushi to hot plates you really can’t beat the all you can eat for 34$. The service was exceptional! It wasn’t just one person coming to the table we had continuous checkups and they were always asking if we wanted to order more or if we wanted refill on drinks! We never had to wait now take into consideration it was a Tuesday night at 5pm the weekends or Friday dinners may be different. The spicy pork hot plate is a must! The gyoza, jalepeno bombs, and yubus were so good! The ramen soup comes a little spicy and that is mild but it was definitely filling! The house salad is a must starter! Lion king roll is also bomb! Added cream cheese to it. Bulgolgi cheese fries are a must! So many options!! You won’t be disappointed!
Amazing experience! Was traveling for work and stopped by this place for some late lunch. The sushi and sashimi was delicious and fresh, basically melting in your mouth. The service was truly great, everyone who worked there was very attentive and did a great job. So far, this is the best sushi in Fairfield! Thank you, I'll be back.
